Ik heb de app al een tijdje, en ook na die update werkt het lang niet zo snel en lang niet zo goed als in het filmpje. Je krijgt vaak dat het niet goed uitkomt, dus dat het geen 360 graden word. Ook mag je niet te snel bewegen anders doet hij niets.

Ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat mijns inziens de kwalieit van de panorama’s is achteruitgegaan tov de vorige versie. En voorheen kon je de 360 graden opnames gratis laten hosten, nu alleen nog via in app purchases.

Photosynth is inderdaad beter. Hier heb je de optie om een volledige bol te maken dus niet alleen op 1 lijn ronddraaien, en je kunt ze op photosynth.net zetten en daar bekijken en delen.
Het probleem wat ik bij 360 panorama had is dat als je een 360 graden foto maakt waar veel licht verschil om je heen is, dit niet goed werkt.

Vorige versie werkte soepel. Deze is gewoon bagger! Traag, blokkerig… Niet meer fatsoenlijk te gebruiken. Het WAS een van mijn favorieten, nu maar wachten op de volgende update!!! Balen!!!!

First – thank you for taking the time to give us this detailed rundown of your feedback. We’re going to consider all of it as we work hard to improve 360 Panorama.
You are actually the first to tell us about the disappearing frames problem! I think this problem appears most on the iPod touch because it has less memory than the iPhone 4 and the iPod touch has the big retina screen which makes the app use more memory than it does on the iPhone 3GS. We need to do a better job of memory utilization — I promise we will fix this in either the very next update coming soon, or the update right after it.
This fix will also solve the “more than 360” problem you’re seeing.
Contrast: We aren’t doing anything different with contrast, but the new capture mechanism does show more contrast differences in some cases because it does not smoothly fuse as many frames. This is something we’re going to be working hard on too.
Ideas to improve things until we get our updates out:
– Start out pointing at the most detailed spot in the place you’re capturing.
– Pan around, overlapping frames by half (in good light this happens automatically)
– When you get to the start again, point back at the very spot that you started. (Of course, if you hit the disappearing frames bug, this will be tricky).
– Hold still pointing at that same start frame for a few seconds. Many times, 360 will fuse the whole panorama together at this point, creating a better stitch.
I also wanted to show you why we have made these changes. Doing these changes allows your panoramas to get enhanced after they are uploaded, which was not possible before. For example, here is the first panorama we enhanced:
Of course, this only works for uploaded panos, and it’s something we will be gradually improving over time. But we are very excited about it because we can keep enhancing your panoramas for you automatically over and over again until they are almost perfect. The down side is that we have unfortunately made the initial captured panorama worse in some cases, and we are working on that.
I wanted you to know we are planning to enable a Classic mode so that you can still use the older stitching method until we get the new one working better. Would you use this Classic mode feature?
For the icon: We actually had a fantastic designer help us create the blue border icon. We wanted it to catch the eye while moving to a more thematic blue. I understand what you’re saying about it feeling a little cheesy, though. We’ll probably keep it around for a couple of updates and see what the general reaction is. So far feedback has been balanced — some like it more, some like it less.
