Devices is the Apple HomeKit app that lets you manage and control smart home devices quickly and intuitively. Each device is represented by a specific icon. There is no complicated menu structure – all devices are shown in an overview and can be sorted by room or device type. In addition, the app boasts smart features such as device groups, scenes and triggers.

AR switching great idea!

The AR switching is a great idea! I am however missing an option to assign an AR button to a group. I have two lamps at the dining table, but would like to switch them as one. I already have a group for this, but I cannot select this.

This app has potential and apart from the Augmented Reality it works. It has some nice graphic displays and it is easy to understand.
But the key feature, the AR control needs to be set up each time again. And that’s too much of a hassle. Maybe it is not possible to save the feature but there must be some point that can be used as a start. One chair or a central position that would be saved. So in case the orientation is lost this point could serve as a rescue from which all saved points can be restored.
That would save me repeating the setup over and over.
And I would implement a hue number for the colors of the light. So you can set up color by degrees of hue.

Hi Krapauw, Thank you for your feedback! With our new AR Feature we use Apple's ARKit, which just introduced environment persistency, enabling Apps to restore your Home in our case. Unfortunately it doesn't always works perfectly and is really dependent on your environment. We hope the Framework ARKit will be continuously being improved and will provide you a better and better experience in the future. Until then we recommend you to point your camera to recognizable spots like floors with a lot trigger points (when you can see a lot of the yellow dots on the screen).
