Outline is an intuitive note-taking application for OS X with convenient structure resembling real paper books: notebooks, sections, groups of sections and pages help to keep order in notes, regardless of their complexity.

Outline is perfect for students, teachers, physicians, lawyers, executives and everyone who's daily life involves extensive note-taking of any kind. It can be coupled with Outline for iPad and
Microsoft OneNote, which makes notes multi-platform.

**Enjoy your notes**
Type anywhere on a page. Much like in a good old paper notebook you just do it your way, without the constraints of a tool! Limits are a thing of the past: arrange your ideas in Outline as they grow and populate the canvas, wherever they may lie.

**Organize your data**
The flawless organization of Outline visually portrays the hierarchy of your ideas. Create pages, sections and groups of sections within a notebook and have them customized to that specific subject. You won't get lost, but pleased with the simplicity of such structure.

**Make your notes awesome**
Use various formatting: сhange font size and color, apply styles and highlighting, create numbered and bulleted lists, tables and hyperlinks. Visualize your notes with associative icons - add tags, create To-do lists not to miss a thing.

Worth The wait

Been using onenote on various Windows machines for quiet a few years and I have built up a lot of notes. It was frustrating to have to use the web interface on my mac. This app works really well and looks very nice. It synced down all my notes and attachments with no problems from Skydrive…..and yes, you can take notes now…..fInally :-)

There is only one bad thing, you cannot drag and drop mails from Apple Mail or outlook into Outline as you can with Evernote, its not a showstopper as you can cut and paste but I am sure at some stage the devs will address this. Overall a great app

Rather expensive, but worth the money

A very good en great looking app. I have both the Mac and the iOs version. It is very useful for bringing all my information categorized on one location.
Good manual.
The only issue I had was with the import of pdf files. As attachment no problem, but when 'printed' in the app, they were blurry. I contacted support and they reacted very fast. They are investigating this matter.
In general I am very satisfied: good looking app, well designed, user friendly, good manual and good support.

Notes duplicating & disappearing at random

For some reason Outline often duplicates lines in my notes over and over, with the same frequency as it backs up probably. Also while making notes often my last created entries just disappear, as if it just backed up to a version from 5 minutes ago. For the first problem I contacted their support and they asked me if I was using One Note. Maybe they meant that as a recommendation.
