This a very nice and smooth Markdown writers app. It renders much better than Elements. Only I would like to host my own markdown files over FTP(s) or SSH and hope that this can be a feature in the near future.

My favourite writing app
I use Byword extensively. To scribble down ideas, to write emails undistracted. Most of the time, I even start writing documents in Byword that I later have to send in Word format. Or that need a lot of designing later. Byword helps me writing without interface distractions; I love that. I also have a static site with a blog, that I publish with Jekyll. All texts are written in Markdown in Byword, and published using Terminal. It makes it really easy to publish; I just focus on the writing.
The only downside is that Byword on iPhone and iPad doesn’t support rich text (the Mac version of Byword does). That means not all documents created in Byword on the Mac, can be opened in Byword on iPad or iPhone. That used to be a limitation of iOS, but I think it no longer is. It would be my number one wish for Byword to have rich text editing in the iOS and iPadOS versions.
