Works well enough
The signature learning method of linking visual data to sentences works great for me. Although I do admit that I sometimes look up a word or two in the dictionary, especially for languages that are vastly different from my mother tongue.
Speech recognition is fine but pretty forgiving. You can sometimes get away with, for example, saying half of the sentence perfectly while spouting all gibberish on the 2nd half. The important thing however is that you try and do your best.
It's also nice that you can start each language with a specific goal in mind (travel, work, etc) and estimate your current skill so that you don't have to sit through material that you already know all too well.
I do recommend Rosetta Stone as a very accessible tool for learning new languages. But if you're getting very adept with a specific language, you may want to look at additional sources to to accompany it.
De beste manier om een taal te leren
Een taal leren met Rosetta Stone is voor mij (met gebrek aan talenknobbel) de eenvoudigste, snelste en leukste manier. Het voelt bijna als een spelletje. Nooit gedacht dat je op deze manier niet alleen woorden kan leren, maar ook zinsopbouw, etc. Enorme voldoening dat ik de mensen in India nu ook (grotedeels) kan verstaan en dat het verder gaat als de gebruikelijke standaard zinnen.
Ik ben er blij mee!
